What is Gordie?

Gordie is an AI-powered fantasy hockey assistant that works entirely through email. You email Gordie a question about your fantasy team, and Gordie replies with data-driven advice — like having a fantasy hockey analyst on speed dial.

Step 1: Sign up

Head to gordie.lastingsoftware.ca and enter your email address. Within a minute, you’ll get a welcome email from Gordie.

Step 2: Connect your Yahoo Fantasy account

Gordie’s welcome email includes a link to securely connect your Yahoo Fantasy account. This gives Gordie read-only access to your teams, so it can see your roster, league settings, and standings.

Important: Gordie only reads your data. It will never make roster changes, accept trades, or drop players on your behalf.

Step 3: Ask your first question

Once connected, just reply to Gordie’s email with any fantasy hockey question. Here are some good ones to start with:

“Give me a rundown of my team” — Gordie will analyze your roster strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
“Who should I start tonight?” — Get lineup recommendations based on today’s matchups.
“Any good waiver pickups for me?” — Gordie scans available players and suggests fits for your roster.

What to expect

Gordie typically responds within a couple of minutes. The response will include relevant stats, reasoning, and clear recommendations. If you want more detail, just ask a follow-up question in the same thread.

Tips for getting the best advice

Be specific when you can. “Should I start Hellebuyck or Saros tonight?” gets a more targeted answer than “Who should I start?”
Mention trade offers in detail. “I was offered Pasta for my Rantanen + a 3rd round pick” gives Gordie everything it needs.
Ask follow-ups. Gordie remembers context within a conversation, so feel free to drill deeper.
